    I can't believe it's almost 2007
I really just can't believe the holidays are nearly over and so is 2006.

Sean and I had a lovely Christmas we spent it shuffling between our parents houses. Christmas Eve we took some time for ourselves and exchanged gifts. Sean got car parts for the Chevelle and stuff for his doomsday kit, because you know we're all going to die! I got a new silicone bread pan, the Chicago Art institute for my Christmas City that has not seen the light of day in, I think seven Christmases now (we so need a bigger house) and the most gorgeous pair of diamond, stud earrings .65 karats total, just the right size. Sean says they are too small so he'll upgrade them in a couple of years, I love him, I really do.

Christmas day started with his parents, his mother raided my Amazon wishlist so now I have all of the Oscar Wilde books and Ewan McGregor DVD's I can stand, not complaining in the least. After the big affair with his brother and sisters we were off to my parents for Christmas dinner and Dad's 60th birthday. Ever practical we gave dad custom floormats for the car, seriously though he loved them. My parents got Sean a drill he's been wanting and I got 40 oz of Philosophy's purity and a new Kitchenaid handmixer (love) among other things.

Though the holiday should not be about gifts the running theme of the evening was apologizing because no one could find the TARDIS cookie jar I am dying for. The stupid thing is only available in the UK and costs more to ship than the actual cost of the stupid blue box. I've been going though a phase where I'm collecting all these bizarre things that remind me of being really little and this funny jar makes me really, really happy. The good news is they are about to release all of the Dr. Who stuff in the US this year so hopefully I'll be able to pick one up then.

Speaking of Dr. Who, Sean and I have totally been indulging our inner kids with the new episodes airing on sci-fi channel. We both watched this show obsessively as kids and are loving the new series. We are also loving bitorret because we can get the episodes the UK is showing now without waiting until spring. Oh and Trisha if you happen to see the "Christmas Invasion" episode is airing on sci-fi, watch it Adam Garcia has a big guest starring role.

We've also been downloading Torchwood which is a spin off show, sort of like a cross between Buffy/CSI set in Cardiff with lots of aliens. We dig it and it's nice we've found something we can actually watch together besides Battlestar Galactica. Damn we are N-E-R-D-S!

Happy New Year to all, we'll be spending a quiet evening with Tracey and Chris missing you all

    DaVinci Code
How they took a great page turner of a book and turned it into a bore I'll never know. I just spent 2 1/2 hours trapped in one of the most boring movies I've ever seen. They left out half of the interesting history and Tom Hanks was wildly miscast. Without major spoilers I don't know what else to say except bleh!

    Visting NYC....
Ok so it looks like I'm taking the late train in on Friday. The plan on Saturday is Rent lotto at noon, lunch with anybody who wants to come after and if we don't win gay cowboys will be in my future. Then Rent lotto again. If that doesn't work I will have to suck it up and buy me a ticket. Anybody have suggestions on where to get food? Ho-Ed is fine but they may have us removed for noise ;-)

I can't wait to see you all!

    Bahhhhhhh, Bahhhhhhhh!
    1. My username is jenben415 because Jenben is my nickname from the Rent line it was better than Jen from Albany. The 415 is because Jenben was taken and because it's the day the Titanic sank (not the day it hit the ice berg)
    2. My journal is titled Jenben's World because, well welcome!
    3. My subtitle is non-existent4. My friends page is called the Scooby Gang because if it was necessary you'd all fight vampire's with me, wouldn't you?
    5. My default userpic is a picture of me from at least four holiday parities ago and the picture that was on my yahoo profile when Sean picked me, I'm sort of partial to it.

Fill it out. Pass it on. Whatever.

Unrelated the kid at Taco Bell tonight was wearing a name tag that said "Kelso" this cracked me up because you so know that was not his name.

I had a great time in the city this weekend, it was much, much too short. I hope Sean and I will come back this winter though and see everyone and catch a certain someone in his plaid pants. I get giddy just thinking about it :-)

Also I'm very sad I did not make it to see Will tonight, hopefully I'll be watching it later ;-)

and when you all bitch about the cold remember we had a high of 18 degrees today!

    Happy Anniversary to me....
So we're in London and leaving tomorrow :-( Then again we are off to Dublin to see Marie and Jimmy so :-). The trip here was pretty awful we got rerouted to Pittsburgh, then sent to Philly where we had to make the sprint of our lives to catch the plane (did I mention the turbulence?); we made it our luggage did not, three days in pretty much the same stuff sucks! All is well now though and we're sad to be leaving tomorrow but have made the most of our trip so far, Sean might even come back ;-) Off to Dublin in the morning....

    No phone in Larkinville...
The good news is I have four new windows that were delivered today.

The bad news is they ripped the phone line off my house doing it. If anyone is trying to contact us call my cell, the phone company can't get here until at least Wednesday!

    Wedding Bells....
Off to Matty's wedding (my little brothers best friend) in about 10 minutes, he's getting married in the same church we did because the only time he ever went to church was with my parents. I haven't been to the church since we got married, it will be nice to sit in the auduence. I'll also enjoy watching Ben suffer the tourture of being best man.

My favorite part about this wedding is that since they couldn't afford a house they bought a $5,000 trailer to live in. I so want to call in the people at trailer fabulous.

Congratulations! You're 134 proof, with specific scores in beer (120) , wine (133), and liquor (78).
All right. No more messing around. Your knowledge of alcohol is so high that you have drinking and getting plastered down to a science. Sure, you could get wasted drinking beer, but who needs all those trips to the bathroom? You head straight for the bar and pick up that which is most efficient.

My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 70% on proof

You scored higher than 99% on beer index

You scored higher than 97% on wine index

You scored higher than 91% on liquor index

After only five months our Wedding Announcement was finally in the paper. I don't have that job anymore and we have no idea who "William Garrity" is, however a couple of you can now feel famous. There is no picture online but there was on in the paper, our parents can now leave us alone.

My first day at the Museum flew by, I have a ton of work to do as the big biannual event is only two months away and I'm in the middle of it. The only casualty is that I really screwed up my knee by wearing heals and dragging several boxes of crap up and down three flights of stairs (I didn't know I would be doing that). So far so good though...
